Attention Health Care Program Enrollees
STRS Ohio is currently in its health care open-enrollment period, which runs through Tuesday, Nov. 25, 2008. During this time, benefit recipients and eligible dependents may change their health care plan for 2009, join a plan if not currently participating and enroll in either or both of the optional dental and vision plans. Once open enrollment is closed, you will not be able to change plans or enroll in the 2009 program (no exceptions to this deadline will be made).

Individuals not currently enrolled in an STRS Ohio-sponsored health care plan can call STRS Ohio toll-free at 1-888-227-7877 for enrollment information.

STRS Ohio has been notified by Express Scripts that the data that is in jeopardy is most likely from a period prior to STRS Ohio contracting with Express Scripts to serve as its pharmacy benefits manager for the Aetna, Medical Mutual and Paramount health care plans. Therefore, it appears no STRS Ohio membership data is at risk. Express Scripts has launched a Web site (www.esisupports.com) that includes additional information about the investigation.
