2005 Comprehensive Annual Financial Report

Each year STRS Ohio develops a Comprehensive Annual Financial Report that provides financial, investment, statistical and actuarial information about the system in a single publication. As noted in the publication, STRS Ohio works with the following professional consultants: 

  • Independent Public Accountants — KPMG LLP  
  • Investment Consultants — Russell Investment Group, Tacoma, Wash. 
  • Actuarial Consultants — Buck Consultants, Chicago, Ill.

This report, which covers the 2004–2005 fiscal year (July 1, 2004–June 30, 2005) is available in a Web version and a PDF book version.

2005 Defined Contribution Investments Annual Report

This report is intended to provide investment information and results from July 1, 2004–June 30, 2005, for STRS Ohio’s defined contribution account investment choices.

The report is divided into four sections:

  1. the Introductory Section that includes a report on defined contribution account asset values and investment performance;
  2. the Economic and Financial Markets Overview Section that describes economic changes that potentially impacted the investment market;
  3. the Performance Section that describes each investment choice and highlights the past year’s performance; and
  4. the Disclosure Section that includes key rules, concepts and definitions of terms used throughout the report.
