Dollars and Sense

Dollars and Sense is a three-hour workshop designed for members in the early stages of their careers. This workshop covers STRS Ohio benefits with emphasis on survivor benefits, disability benefits, coordinating accounts in other Ohio retirement systems and purchasing service credit.

In addition, you will learn to plan for your family’s financial fitness, including goal setting, investment options and strategies, and investment risk and defense. You’ll also learn how to get started and where to get help.

Who Should Attend
Dollars and Sense is perfect for members who are beginning to plan for their financial future. We recommend this course especially for:

• Members who want to learn more about STRS Ohio benefits and how they impact the family, and 
• Members who are interested in learning about investment basics.
