Benefit Information Meeting

The Benefit Information Meeting is a one-hour session that covers the basics about STRS Ohio benefits including service retirement, purchasable service credit, disability protection, survivor benefits and much more. Reviews of new and pending legislation that may affect retirement are also presented.

Who Should Attend
This meeting is valuable to all members, from those beginning their careers to those nearing retirement. We recommend this program especially for:

• Active teachers early in their careers — to become familiar with STRS Ohio’s benefits, and
• Active teachers who are nearing retirement — to review the current benefits package.

Registration Information
These meetings are held at the request of the employer. Ask your employer if a Benefit Information Meeting is scheduled in your area. If not, you may want to request that your employer sponsor a meeting. You can register for these meetings through your employer.
