Health Care Program Highlights

To help guide retired members through the annual health care open-enrollment decision-making process, we offer the Health Care Program Highlights Meeting on multiple dates throughout Ohio in November. During these two-hour meetings, STRS Ohio representatives will review the upcoming calendar year’s health care premium information, plan design changes and cost-saving measures. All health care plans are discussed at all of the meetings, and attendees are given the opportunity to ask questions at the meeting’s conclusion.

The Health Care Program Highlights Meeting will be of special interest to retired members who are trying to gain a better understanding of health care plans offered under the STRS Ohio Health Care Program, to decide which health care plan would best meet their current health care needs.

Advance registration is required. Registration begins one month before the date of the meeting. After registering you will receive a confirmation letter with further details. Space is limited. One guest per member, please. These meetings will be offered at 1 p.m. and 6 p.m. on each day.

There are two ways to register for a Health Care Program Highlights meeting:

• Call STRS Ohio toll-free at 1-888-227-7877. 

Click on the city name which will open a window with directions to the seminar’s location. In most cases you will be linked to the Web site of the facility that is hosting the meeting. If the facility does not have a Web site, you will be linked to general directions.
