Annual Reporting Around the Corner |
Save time and mailing costs by submitting your Annual Report, Recap Sheet and Service Credit Verification report online this year. If you used these online services in the past, you are automatically registered to use them again this year. Otherwise, you must register to use them. This year’s submission deadline is Friday, Aug. 8, 2008.

During its June 2008 meeting, the State Teachers Retirement Board elected Mark Meuser as its vice chair for the coming year. Meuser was elected in May 2006 to a contributing member seat on the board. GASB Statement Available
In compliance with the disclosure requirements of the Governmental Accounting Standards Board (GASB), STRS Ohio has completed the following GASB statements:
GASB Statement No. 12 — regarding post-employment benefits other than pension benefits;
GASB Statement No. 27 — regarding employer pension disclosures; and
GASB Statement No. 45 — regarding employer OPEB disclosure.
Annual Compensation Limits Updated

for Early Contract Completion Required When a Member Retires
Occasionally, teachers will work weekend days or holidays to complete
their contracts ahead of schedule so they can retire early. For STRS
Ohio purposes, compensation earned for work performed on weekends or
holidays for the purpose of early contract completion may not qualify
