Getting Started

The first thing a new community school needs to do to become operational is get an employer number. To request a number, complete the Request for STRS Ohio Employer Number form and mail it to: 

Upon receipt, STRS Ohio will issue an employer number and send a confirmation letter. Review the confirmation letter and begin using the assigned employer number on all future correspondence to STRS Ohio.

Obtaining your employer number is very important. Registering with STRS Ohio allows us to provide you with support, mail important updates and keep you informed of services available.
