Absences & Leaves
Partially Paid Absence or Leave
Members who are granted leaves of absence with partial pay
are entitled to only a partial year of service credit
based on the percentage of leave pay. Members on a leave of absence
cannot receive a full year of credit by completing deposits on 120 days.
Full credit may be obtained in accordance with procedures outlined in
this section.
A 
Notification of Professional Leave of Absence form should be
completed by all college and university teachers who are granted a sabbatical leave
of absence under Section 3345.28, Revised Code. Completion of the form
will establish the member’s right to receive full credit for the
leave period by paying the required amounts as outlined in this section.
