Election Results Certified by Tellers

On May 7, 2005, the ballots for this year’s State Teachers Retirement Board elections were certified by tellers designated by each candidate and a representative of the Secretary of State.

The results of the election for one contributing member seat on the Retirement Board are as follows:

• Mary Ann Quilter Flannagan, 15,999 votes;
• Rolla Beach, 11,474 votes;
• F. James Norris II, 6,343 votes;
• Mark Fredrick, 3,467 votes; and
• Write Ins, 283 votes.

The results of the election for two retired teacher member seats on the Retirement Board are as follows:

• Dennis Leone, 21,461 votes;
• Jeff Chapman, 19,504 votes;
• W. David Speas, 13,709 votes;
• Teresa M. Green, 12,688 votes;
• L. Neil Johnson, 11,805 votes; and
• Write Ins, 250 votes.

The term of office for Mary Ann Quilter Flannagan, Dennis Leone and Jeff Chapman begins Sept. 1, 2005, and ends Aug. 31, 2009.
