STRS Ohio members who started teaching between July 1, 2003, and June 30, 2004, and selected STRS Ohio’s Defined Contribution or Combined Plan have an important choice to make. You are now eligible for a one-time opportunity to reselect your STRS Ohio retirement plan. The decision you make now will be permanent and the plan you choose will be your retirement plan for as long as you remain an STRS Ohio member.

The deadline for your permanent selection is June 1, 2008. You must respond with your selection — even if you want to stay in your current plan. If we do not receive your enrollment form by the deadline, under Ohio law your Defined Contribution or Combined Plan account will be closed and you will participate in the STRS Ohio Defined Benefit Plan.
