Retiring With Confidence

If you want the “nuts & bolts” of the retirement process, don’t miss the Retiring With Confidence program. The two-hour program reviews all of the essential steps of retiring, including defining important dates, STRS Ohio retirement benefits, adjusting to retirement, how to complete your Service Retirement Application, health care issues and funding, and much more.

All participants receive a retirement booklet that highlights the key steps in the retirement process month-by-month.

Who Should Attend
Retiring With Confidence is designed especially for educators retiring in 12–18 months. It is assumed that attendees of this seminar have already had a one-on-one counseling session with an STRS Ohio benefits counselor. We recommend this course especially for:

• Members who are nearing retirement and have questions about the processes and paperwork involved.

This program is offered at locations throughout Ohio and advance registration is required. You may register beginning one month before the date of the seminar. After registering you will receive a confirmation letter with further details. There are two ways to register:

• Use the online registration application; or 
• Call STRS Ohio toll-free at 1-888-227-7877.
