Retiree Meetings
Retiree Series
Planning for a financially secure retirement is an important task — and one that doesn’t end with the receipt of that first pension benefit payment. The Retiree Series is a three-hour program for retired members, with topics alternating annually between Estate Planning and Investing in Retirement — Managing Your Assets. Retiree Series meetings are presented by guest speakers who have expertise in the subject matter.
2009 Topic — Investing in Retirement — Managing Your Assets Watching and weathering the ups and downs of the stock market can be particularly unsettling when you are retired. STRS Ohio invites you to combat your financial anxieties with knowledge. During this three-hour meeting, guest speakers will
help you understand retirement investment options, qualified plan considerations and life insurance issues.
2010 Topic — Estate Planning
This presentation will offer information on wills, durable powers of attorney and health care directive documents.
Registration
This program is offered throughout Ohio and advance registration is required. You may register beginning one month before the date of the seminar. After registering, you will receive a confirmation letter with further details. There are two ways to register:
