It's Time to Start Preparing Your Annual Report

It’s time to start preparing for the submission of your 2016–2017 fiscal year annual report. Visit the Annual Reporting Resource Center on our website for instructions and other resources to help you properly complete this year’s annual reporting process. (You will not receive instructions in the mail.)

Your annual report is due by Friday, Aug. 4. All employers must submit this electronic report that lists service credit and member contributions on compensation earned by STRS Ohio active members and reemployed retirees during the fiscal year.

Here are a few reminders about this year’s annual reporting process:

  • The annual report is based on compensation earned between July 1, 2016, and June 30, 2017. All member contributions, including accrued contributions, must be reported at the 14% rate.
  • You must submit your annual report via the STRS Ohio Employer Website using the online report in Employer Self Service (ESS) or secure file upload. Use only one method to submit your report.
  • If you use ESS, your personalized report will be available on July 1.

No extensions will be granted to the Aug. 4 deadline, so please prepare for any issues that could prevent your report from being submitted on time.
