On Nov. 4, 2016, Ohio’s Senate President and House Speaker jointly reappointed Craig C. Brooks to the State Teachers Retirement Board. He has served on the board since 2007. Brooks retired from KeyCorp in 2003, following a 30-year career where he served in several executive-level positions including executive vice president — Finance and president of KeyCorp Mortgage. Brooks’ term on the Retirement Board will end on Nov. 4, 2020.
Amended Substitute Senate Bill 133 passed in June 2004 included a provision that enabled the Ohio Senate President and the Speaker of the Ohio House of Representatives to jointly appoint an investment expert to the State Teachers Retirement Board. The 11 members of the board are compensated for expenses only.
