The Retirement Board approved premiums for dental and vision coverage for the next two-year contract period, 2017–2018. Coverage for Delta Dental remains the same as under the current two-year contract and premiums are increasing slightly. Premiums for Delta Dental coverage for a benefit recipient will be $30.35 per month starting in 2017, and coverage for a benefit recipient along with another adult will be $70.22.
Vision coverage under Vision Service Plan’s (VSP) network is moving to the Choice level from the Signature level beginning in 2017 and premiums are decreasing slightly. Premiums for VSP coverage for a benefit recipient will be $6.85 per month, while coverage for a benefit recipient along with another adult will be $13.56.
The two-year contract period applies to all eligible enrollees — this means once a person enrolls in the vision and/or dental plan, he or she must remain in the plan through December 2018.
