New full-time higher education faculty members have the option of selecting STRS Ohio’s Defined Benefit Plan, Combined Plan or Defined Contribution Plan — or an alternative retirement plan (ARP) offered by a private vendor. This video provides plan selection details and resources, an overview of STRS Ohio retirement plan and ARP plan features and information about selecting investments. Plan information for K–12 educators and part-time higher education faculty is available in this video.
For faculty members who are selecting an STRS Ohio retirement plan instead of an ARP, the STRS Ohio retirement plan selection can be made any of the following ways:
- Online via an Online Personal Account: Option available beginning Spring 2019. (Click on “Member Information” in the top menu and then “Retirement Plan Selection” under Useful Links.)
- Mail a Retirement Plan Selection Form to STRS Ohio
- Email the selection form to [email protected].
- Fax the selection form to 614‑233‑8713.
