Privacy Statement
STRS Ohio has established these privacy policies and procedures for the STRS Ohio Employer Web Site, www.strsoh.org/employer. The safeguards outlined here are designed to protect the privacy of STRS Ohio member information and STRS Ohio employers who submit information to STRS Ohio through the Employer Account Information area.
The STRS Ohio employer secure server environment encrypts all information entered while a user is logged into the Employer Account Information section of the Web site. Information, including Social Security numbers, cannot be read at any time while encrypted.
STRS Ohio does not collect personal information about Web site users except when individuals specifically provide such information. Personal information is not, and will not, be sold or otherwise transferred to unaffiliated third parties. STRS Ohio reserves the right to contact an employer regarding any matter relevant to the underlying service or the information collected.
STRS Ohio reserves the right to perform statistical analysis of user behavior and characteristics to measure use and performance of the site. This information is used to enhance the site. No third party shall be provided with any analysis or aggregate data obtained in this manner.
Cookies (small data files on the user’s hard drive) are used throughout the site to track where a user is and whether the user is looking at a page or using one of the online calculators. The only information stored in the cookie is a unique identification number that identifies the user to the Web server. It does not contain any personal information.
This policy is effective July 1, 1998. STRS Ohio reserves the right to change this policy at any time. This policy is not intended to provide complete information about the laws that create STRS Ohio or about rights and benefits under STRS Ohio.
