Open enrollment for STRS Ohio’s medical, dental and vision plans is Nov. 1–22, 2022. During this time, eligible benefit recipients and their family members can make changes to their current coverage or enroll in a plan for the first time. Coverage begins on Jan. 1, 2023, for plans selected during the open-enrollment period.

All eligible benefit recipients will receive dental and vision plan materials at the end of October. Medical plan information will also be included for current medical plan enrollees. If you signed up for the paperless option, you can view your materials in your Online Personal Account. (You will not receive materials in the mail.)

It’s easy to make enrollment changes online. If you want to add coverage, cancel your enrollment or change plans after reviewing your materials, log in to your Online Personal Account and select “Health Care.” Then select the action you want to take under Open Enrollment. If you do not have an account, click here to register.

If you are not currently enrolled in an STRS Ohio plan and are interested in coverage, please call STRS Ohio toll-free at 888‑227‑7877 or email us to request your personalized open-enrollment information.

Opportunities to join a plan are limited outside of open enrollment, so please respond by Nov. 22 if you want to change your plan enrollment or add coverage for next year.
